Total Eclipse of the Heart

Our latest customer story will stop all those out there thinking it’s too late to find love because as the story goes with Carl and Clara – love is timeless, and it's never too late to find it. After 16 years of friendship and a five-year engagement, Carl decided that Clara’s 55th birthday needed a special celebration.

As fate would have it, Clara’s birthday happened to be the same day as the first total solar eclipse in more than thirty years. Carl knew without a doubt this would be the perfect moment to profess his love to Clara and propose with a ring made for a princess.

Clara hinted that a “big rock,” was on her mind and Carl found his way to Brian Gavin Diamonds. He landed on the stunning white gold Juno ring with one of our signature Brian Gavin Blue diamond nestled on top.

With the ring in hand, the star-crossed lovers set off on an adventure to the perfect viewing spot to witness the natural phenomena set to occur just 522 miles north of where they were. As they entered the campgrounds, they eagerly set up chairs to admire the total eclipse. With Clara’s “big rock” from Brian Gavin Diamonds hidden, the sky began to go dark, and Carl anticipated the exact moment he would surprise her. As the moon passed over the sun, the feel of the air was magical.

Moments after as the sun began to shine again, Carl worked up the nerve to give his speech:

“55 years ago you were born on a family farm in South Korea. Happy birthday, baby,” he said endearingly.

Clara was left utterly speechless and calls Carl her “dream man.” he lovely couple plan to get married early next year and Clara plans on not only wearing her Brian Gavin ring, but also the ruby wedding band that belonged to Carl’s mother.

At Brian Gavin Diamonds we're committed to providing the best service and designing stunning engagement rings like the one pictured above. If you're planning on tying the knot soon, we would love to be part of your special day.
