"Kristina" 3 Sided Diamond Pave Engagement Ring with Euro Shank by Brian Gavin…

In the middle of January we received an e-mail from a customer wanting to purchase a Brian Gavin Signature Hearts and Arrows diamond and have us create a custom pave engagement ring setting for it. He considered several diamonds and then had us ship the one he selected, a 1.21 carat BG Signature H & A, to an independent appraiser:

Hi Lesley! I had a really nice chat with Brian tonight. I could hear you in the back ground on the other line. I picked up Kristina's best friend (since they were 8) and took her along to view the diamond…WOW! WOW! WOW! We both LOVED it! It's is a gorgeous piece. I'm very very pleased with how candid and descriptive you were with describing this diamond to me. Also, I had a really enjoyable appraisal experience with the Jim Krol.

He had the diamond shipped back to us and we started on the journey of creating his dream setting. He provided us with a lot of input:

Thanks for all your help Lesley. I have to say, Brian's reputation is what made me consider you, your service, assistance and information is what is keeping me here. I really value the efforts you are putting in. Thanks again.

We created the CAD and then the wax and finally the beautiful finished piece which was made in platinum with approx. 0.55ctw F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature melee set  on three sides half way around shank :

Lesley and Brian, I received the ring yesterday and I wanted to let you know I could not be more pleased with the results! You guys did a great job, and I know my girlfriend will love it. It has been great working with you, and I will definitely be a lifetime customer to BGD. Thank you, Chris

After he had proposed he sent it back to have it sized slightly and to have us add two surprise stones in the inside of the band:

Hi Lesley, Kristina was tickled with the surprise stones. The sizing seems to be much better for too! Thank Brian for walking her through the process if you can.

Chris sent in these fabulous personal pictures today and we share the whole process with you here:
