In June 2010 Shane contacted us to discuss his upcoming diamond engagement ring purchase. He was planning to propose to his girlfriend of 8 years and wanted to purchase a very high quality center stone and a magnificent setting. He selected the Platinum "Summer" 3 stone open basket setting with a 1.10 ct Brian Gavin Signature Hearts and Arrows diamond.

About a year later he contacted us to get started with the wedding bands. After much discussion he decided to order the Platinum Dream Half Eternity Band and a Palladium 6 mm Men's Three Textured Band. We set a "Surprise" Emerald and Diamond inside both bands and engraved a special note.

About 2 months before the wedding Shane contacted us for the wedding jewelry.  We created a magnificent Custom 18k White Gold Necklace set w/ 0.99 ctw F/G SI Brian Gavin Signature diamond melee for him and he added the 14k White Gold Leverback Huggies to his order.

The wedding was on Saturday, October 15 and we received this e-mail and the beautiful pictures below:

Esther contacted us several months ago. She had inherited her maternal grandmother’s ring and wanted to consult with Brian to see how she could modify the ring  to make it more modern without losing the basic original design. He kept the gallery the same, created a new wider shank and added a surprise  Brian Gavin Signature melee diamond on each end. The result exceeded Esther's expectations and she sent in the following e-mail:

My Maternal Grandmother, Mama Beulah, never wanted to be called Grandmother as it made her feel old. So she created a tradition that Grandmother’s in the family be called Mama with their first name after it.  She always wore this ring.  We believe it was her wedding ring.  It has been hidden away for many years closeted and unworn.  After my Nephew’s wedding was announced I decided to give it a face lift and bring it and my Grandmother’s presence forward.  This ring brings to mind all the memories, feelings, and positive associations with her.  She had delicate hands and fingers and beautiful long nails.  Her nails used to click the piano keys while she played. I felt the ring was simple but there was magnificence about it like her.  I was cautious not want to interfere with the integrity of antiquity during the remodeling process.

I took the ring to Brian Gavin who I call “Brian the Diamond Man.”  I was amazed at what a creative visionary he is. We put our images together all the while he was drawing in his mind ways to construct it.  I came in for fittings and consultations throughout the process.  Brian is a perfectionist.  The outcome is beautiful and perfect.  It is a juxtaposition of the old with the new.  Now my Grandmother is in view in my mind and her ring can make an exquisite statement for all to enjoy.   I shall pass it on to adorn someone else and to keep the memory of her alive.  Esther

In the middle of November we received a call from Tyler, an American living in Beijing. He had seen pictures of our 3 Stone Crossed Trellis on Pricescope and was excited about working with us to create a platinum diamond engagement ring for his soon to be fiancée.  He worked primarily with Jamie and also had the opportunity to speak with Brian Gavin regarding the different diamond choices. He selected a magnificent 1.50 ct Brian Gavin Signature H & A for the center stone and two 0.40 ct side stones.

We received a great e-mail and  beautiful pictures of Tyler and Katie today and thought that you would enjoy seeing the handsome couple.

Jamie, Leslie and Brian, I just wanted to say thank you for the beautiful ring. I am so glad I went with the signature cuts and the cross-trellis. The H diamond is VERY white and I honestly don’t think I could differentiate from a D, even though I am quite color sensitive. I also stared at the center rock through a loupe for a long time and still couldn’t see the inclusions (even though it is an SI1). Glad I went with those specs!!

I proposed about 4 weeks ago, flying in early for Christmas and surprising my girlfriend Katie (now fiancee), as we are long distance at the moment. I asked her to marry me during a beautiful sunset on the balcony of her grandmother's old house (her favorite place in the world to visit as a child) high up in the Tustin Hills overlooking all of Orange County and out to Catalina. This was an extra surprise for her considering her grandmother hasn't lived there in 20 years. I managed to track down the address and asked the complete strangers living there if they would mind me using their balcony to propose. Thankfully they ended up being very nice, and everything worked out wonderfully. On the balcony I had some candles lit and 25 red roses (she is 25 years old). I sat her down and handed her a rose for 25 reasons why I love her and want to marry her. I also had a big white rose in the middle of all of them, which had the ring hidden inside. After giving her all of the red roses, I pulled out the ring from the middle of the white rose (it came out beautifully sparkling in the candle light and fading sun!), got down on a knee, and she said yes! I am now officially the luckiest guy in the world.

After the proposal for the entire month I was out there she literally could not stop looking at the ring. She absolutely loves it. In fact, while it may need a small resizing, she is debating whether or not she wants to send it in, as she doesnt want to be without her ring for even a second! She also has received a ton of compliments from family, friends, and even strangers. Thanks again, and I am so glad everything worked out with the Pricescope fiasco. In September Cavan contacted us about setting 3 princess cuts into one of our 3 stone rings – either the 3 stone Trellis or the Truth x 3. He was considering purchasing the stones separately at either a local jeweler or another online company. On researching our inventory he discovered that we have magnificent Brian Gavin Signature Princess cuts available at very competitive prices and Jamie recommended a few potential diamonds to him. Being that he lives a close drive away, he decided to drive in and meet with Brian Gavin to view the diamonds and also discuss the setting options. They had a very productive meeting and Cavan proceeded to purchase 3 beautiful Brian Gavin Signature princess cut diamonds and the Truth x 3 setting in platinum. It would be specifically modified to accommodate the princess cuts. We e-mailed the CAD renderings to him for his comments and approval, noting that we allow for a 15% overage of material for the casting process. The excess is shaved down after the ring has been cast and the prongs are finished during the setting of the diamonds. We cast the setting and carefully set the 3 beautiful G VS and G VVS diamonds.

On receiving the ring he wrote:

Lesley, I picked up the ring and it looks great! I really love the truth setting, very unique compared to what’s out there and it came out just how I hoped. Thanks for all your help I am sure she will love it. Tell Brian I am down to grab a drink in Austin anytime! Thanks so much, Cavan

After he had taken the ring for a local appraisal he wrote in to Jamie:

Hi Jamie, I just got an appraisal and received the highest compliment that it was the best new ring she had seen, and the cut quality was above anything else she has appraised. This was before she even knew they were AGS0. She was so impressed she asked for Brian's card which I had in the box. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results of my ring. In November 2009, Phyllis called in having seen some of our beautiful work on Pricescope. She had a custom ring made that she was not to her expected standards and she decided to give us a call. That project did not come to fruition, but several months later she called back wanting to speak with Brian about setting her three new Infinity Diamonds into a 3 stone ring. She e-mailed in several designs and had a couple of phone conferences with Brian. After much thought and discussion, she decided to go with our Truth x 3 setting with a 14K rose gold shank and three platinum Truth heads. She gave her feedback on Pricescope, the place she had originally found out about our company, wrote us the following fabulous testimonial and the Glamour Shots and hand pictures can be seen in the Gallery below!

Kevin called in at the beginning of June and spoke with Denise about his upcoming diamond engagement ring purchase. He selected a beautiful 0.90ct Brian Gavin Signature Hearts & Arrows diamonds and then started working on the setting.  He  had a phone meeting with Brian and told him that he loved our 3 stone crossed trellis setting but wanted it with a slight twist. He wanted us to use .25 ct side stones and then add diamond melee down the sides of the shank. We created the CAD and after a few minor adjustments, Kevin gave the green light and we moved forward to the casting and finishing of the ring.  While the project was in progress, we were surprised by the delivery of a care package of delicious Hershey's chocolates!!!

He proposed to Rebecca at 6 a.m. at Fingerlakes in NY last week and e-mailed the pictures to us to share. Enjoy the process and pictures below.

We created a magnificent 3 stone "Truth x 3" ring last month and we received these beautiful pictures (by photographer Bryan Sutherland) last Thursday. We are posting them here today, Memorial Day, in honor of and in gratitude to all of our servicemen.  He is a pilot in the Coast Guards and the story is below:

At the end of January a customer called in about the possible recut of her diamond. She e-mailed in a copy of the certificate for Brian’s review and then, being that they are stationed near Houston, she brought the diamond in with her husband to show Brian and get his feedback. They had a wonderful meeting and Brian agreed to move forward on the recut, which, when done, was to be one of the three stones for a new three stone engagement ring. He predicted that the original diamond weighing 1.02 ct would end up at approximately 0.82 carat. He did a spectacular job of the recut and once done, she selected a beautiful 1.70 carat for the center and a matching 0.82 ct for the third stone – both Brian Gavin Signature Hearts and Arrows diamonds. We set the diamonds in our beautiful Truth x 3 stone setting in platinum. The result was spectacular!!!

• Dear Lesley, Finally after being held more than 1 day in Singapore, the ring was shipped to us yesterday. Both of us have held our breath and anxiously waiting for it, and it is definitely worth the extra wait. It is gorgeous with the right amount of "bling" and substantial, classic and at the same time modern as we expected. We love it so much the moment we saw it after impatiently going though all the layers of the package, and I can't resist the urge of trying it again and again on my finger just to feel the smooth feeling of the comfort fit ring, and hold it out to the light to see how sparkling it is (although to be honest I wish I had gone for a little bit more carat weight for the diamonds, but anyway, how much is enough, so I'm just being greedy indeed…) I can't wait until our actual wedding day, which is end of November (!!) to be able to officially wear it without Andrew always trying to take it away from me and lock it somewhere I cannot find.
