Mark called in wanting to discuss a very special push present for his wife, Debbie. She had given birth to a baby boy a few weeks earlier and he had promised her a full eternity asscher cut diamond band.  Our challenge was to be able to secure enough asscher cut diamonds of exactly the same size, color and clarity. We decided to custom cut a matching line of 0.40 ct F/G VS asscher cuts and the total diamond weight came to approx. 6.5 carats. We e-mailed a picture of the diamonds lined up to our customer who was just blown away!!

Mark told us that Debbie wanted the diamond to be set as low as possible. We proceeded to create a custom platinum full eternity u-prong setting to house these beautiful stones. The CAD was e-mailed for approval and the results can be seen below. Needless to say his wife, Debbie, was speechless. She called in to speak with us and just could not believe how her husband had spoiled her!!

Jason called in the middle of May to begin discussions about the diamond pendant that he was hoping to create for his wife who was expecting twin girls. He envisioned a 3 stone pendant with a larger stone for his wife and two matching smaller stones for the girls. He worked with us to select 3 Brian Gavin Signature hearts and arrows diamonds that matched well and stayed within his budget – a 0.75 ct and two 0.33 ct stones.

Once the diamond selections had been finalized he e-mailed us some inspiration pictures that all had a bezel theme. He wanted the larger stone at the top of the pendant and then the 2 smaller stones underneath it in a design that could separate the stones as the girls got older. He also wanted a sturdy but fluid chain as his wife had previously lost her pendant.  When he received it, Jason sent out a quick e-mail:

• Leslie! I just picked up the nicest ring I have ever seen! The diamond solitaire setting is a lot more delicate than I expected, which is PERFECT!!!! Right after New Year we received an e-mail from a very loyal customer who was planning her push present. She wanted us to price out a diamond key pendant which would be the "key to her heart" and an heirloom in celebration of the birth of her baby son, Jacob Ryan. We explored several options together and she decided on the design shown in the pictures below. We ordered the rough casting in and set it with Brian Gavin Signature melee H/I SI  approx. 0.87 ctw.

We held on to it until Baby Jake was born on February 7, 2010. We then engraved his name, Jacob Ryan, on one edge and the birth date on the other. We overnighted it to a very excited new mom and following is part of her response:

Hi Lesley, I got the key today. OMG it is just perfect!! I am completely in love with it and the engraving. The key is just the perfect size. I can't wait to wear it out tomorrow when I finally leave the house for the first time. I have to take little Jacob to the doctor in the morning.  You guys did an amazing job with this special piece. Back in April we were contacted by a customer who was interested in starting discussions about a diamond band, but wanted to wait until after she had given birth and her ring size had settled. We heard back from her in September, post-birth and ready to get started. She selected five beautiful 0.25 ct ideal cut diamonds and e-mailed us an inspiration picture to illustrate what she wanted. We created a magnificent custom platinum 5 stone trellis ring  engraved with her wedding date and with a blue “surprise” sapphire set inside the shank for her new baby.

Hi Lesley, I picked up the band this morning and it is *stunning *. The prongs are just like you promised they'd be, and the profile is amazing. Open, but secure. The diamonds are incredibly white and sparkly. In short: it's a piece of art. Thank you so, so much, Emily

At the end of April we were contacted by a customer who was considering having us make a diamond “baby ring” in celebration of the birth of her first child. We talked about several different options with her and she asked very specific questions about the width and height of each band we discussed.   After much discussion, mainly by e-mail, she decided on a very fine custom made shared prong half eternity band.  She wanted the diamonds set as low as possible, with minimal metal on the outside and very fine pinched prongs. She requested that the final diamonds before the metal shank started be bezelled rather than pronged at the outer edge, with a gradual tapering of the thickness of the shank starting where the diamonds ended. Most importantly she wanted the height of the new band to work with the height of the shank of her engagement ring.  Her band was made from 18K white gold and was set with 11 x .05 H/I SI Brian Gavin Signature melee. (It is also available using F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature melee.)

On receiving the band we received a short e-mail with the following, “Lesley and Brian, I love it, it is perfection!” and she directed us to her Pricescope post where she elaborated on her reaction to receiving her band.
