Mark called in wanting to discuss a very special push present for his wife, Debbie. She had given birth to a baby boy a few weeks earlier and he had promised her a full eternity asscher cut diamond band.  Our challenge was to be able to secure enough asscher cut diamonds of exactly the same size, color and clarity. We decided to custom cut a matching line of 0.40 ct F/G VS asscher cuts and the total diamond weight came to approx. 6.5 carats. We e-mailed a picture of the diamonds lined up to our customer who was just blown away!!

Mark told us that Debbie wanted the diamond to be set as low as possible. We proceeded to create a custom platinum full eternity u-prong setting to house these beautiful stones. The CAD was e-mailed for approval and the results can be seen below. Needless to say his wife, Debbie, was speechless. She called in to speak with us and just could not believe how her husband had spoiled her!!

Adam was referred to us by a previous customer and was looking to purchase a .80 – .90 round diamond and a setting. He requested information about several Brian Gavin Select stones that were not in our inventory, but eventually decided to go with one of Brian’s Signature Hearts and Arrows diamonds. For the setting he was undecided between a classic solitaire style and one with side diamonds. After doing a bit of probing he decided to go with a Custom 3/4 Eternity Channel set Solitaire with the Truth head. We named it the Gina after his beautiful new fiancee.

• I picked it up this morning looks great! I haven’t decided exactly how I am going to do it yet maybe during the cruise so expect to hear from me the week after next

A few months ago, a very discerning customer came to our offices for an appointment. She had a magnificent 5 carat pear shape diamond that she wanted reset, but she had to feel that she could trust the jeweler who was going to make the setting for her. She met with Brian, armed with several inspiration pictures and notes. After discussing the details of what she had in mind, she gladly left her diamond with us. The CAD renderings were e-mailed to her and once approved, the ring was cast and set with F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature melee and the beautiful 5 carat pear shape diamond. Jason started out on a Live Chat session discussing diamond options for his upcoming diamond engagement ring purchase. Hi Brian and Lesley, I am a long time member of Pricescope and I have been admiring BGD designs for some time now. Your work is absolutely incredible in every new picture I see! I've always been leery about buying diamonds online but I think I have found a piece that I would love to get me started. I am very interested in the Diamonds By The Yard necklace but I have a question. I would like to know if the chain is strong enough to hold a pendant. My mom passed away in August and my father bought me an angel pendant that is 31mm in height and 23mm in width. Is this too large to hang from a chain like this?

We asked her to e-mail us a picture of the pendant so we could see what it looked like and if her idea would work. Once we had confirmed that it would we got to work and created an 18” handmade custom 18 carat Diamonds by the Yard necklace with 8 x .07 F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature Melee evenly spaced.  The 8^th diamond allowed the pendant to hang in the center with a diamond on each side.

Hi Lesley! I picked up my FedEx package and ripped it open in the car! Thank goodness there was no one else in the parking lot! I love, love, love my new necklace! It’s absolutely beautiful and looks PERFECT with my angel pendant! I didn’t realize how difficult it is to take photos of this necklace with the diamonds turning around on me. I took a ton of them and then realized that the diamonds were flipped over. Now the sun is in and out but I will not give up yet! I sent you a few, as requested, and included one with my 8ct diamond. At the beginning of March a former customer called in to order a pair of Brian Gavin Signature Hearts and Arrows diamonds. About a week after receiving them she called in again to discuss the creation of a beautiful custom 18K white gold 10mm band with cut out diamond shapes with approx. 0.85 ctw F/G VS Brian Gavin Signature diamond melee.

We designed the ring on CAD and then cast and set the band. The result was absolutely magnificent. On receipt of the band, our customer wrote in:

Hi Lesley/Brian,  I wanted to let you know I picked up my beautiful wedding band yesterday and I love it. It is everything I imagined it would be. Brian you did a fantastic job with it. I did think of a name for the ring:

Brittany’s Rose Gold 5 stone u –prong ring has caused a major stir and is featured here today. She contacted us back in January, before the launch of the website,  wanting to reset her current 3 stone engagement ring (2.11 ctw) , create  a full eternity rose gold band to go with the 3 stone and then she thought of making her 3 stone into a 7 stone ring. She finally decided to purchase 2 x .50ct  Brian Gavin Signature H & A diamonds to add to the 3 stones  in her engagement ring and have us create a five stone rose gold u-prong setting for her.

We created the ring using CAD, got approval and the green light and caste the setting. All 5 stones were carefully set, 2 "Surprise" colored gemstones were set inside the shank and pictures were sent to the lucky owner:

Thank you for the pictures. Wow. It's just breathtaking. Wow. Just beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person!

We then shipped the ring and received this e-mail:

A dear customer called us a few weeks ago to replace her engagement ring with a magnificent 3 carat princess cut diamond. We had a wonderful time working with her to bring in the beautiful diamond she selected and then creating her Platinum X-prong with euroshank. On receiving it she sent the following e-mail:

I just came back from picking up the ring (yes, I had to leave work in the middle of the morning because I could NOT wait until lunchtime). I am not sure that I possess the vocabulary to express my feelings. Stunned! Shocked! Ecstatic! Awestruck come to mind. Not only is this the PERFECT diamond, the craftsmanship on my custom made ring is museum perfect. I am so blown away, I am hiding my hand because I don't even want to share this ring's beauty with anyone yet! I had planned to do a whole big reveal photo shoot for Pricescope, but I think I blacked out because right there in the FedEx office I tore into the boxes and pulled out the sparkly! I laughed at the included inspection white gloves, because my immediate reaction was to put this ring on my finger! Thank you so much for your fantastic customer service and beautiful product! You made my sad situation happy! I don't know how I am going to work today! I will definitely be back.. my right hand is kind of jealous!

In the middle of February we received an e-mail from a customer looking for a Classic Truth Solitaire with a row of princess pave on each side. We responded and did not hear back and then a couple of nights later, I was on Live Chat and the customer came in on a Live Chat session. He had not heard back from us and really wanted to work with us. I told him to check his junk mail folder and he found several e-mails from us sitting in there.  We spent a while on Live Chat and the following day I got back to him with a quote for his diamond and the setting. He purchased a beautiful .70ct princess cut, we created the setting using CAD, he approved it and it went to casting. When finished we e-mailed him the pictures for his review:

Lesley, Wow! It looks gorgeous! When I first explained the idea to you, that's exactly what I had in mind. I'm so glad that I went with the tapered princess cut diamonds in the band. It looks simply stunning and I can't wait to see it in person. A lot of people have been waiting to see how it looked finished and I can't wait to show them. It's everything I wanted and I'm positive it's exactly what she wanted as well. I couldn’t have asked for anything else. I don't know what it is about the truth head, but I love it. I'm very happy with everything and will definitely be getting back into contact with you when it comes times to get our wedding bands. The packaging was awesome as well. I felt like a kid on Christmas unwrapping presents. Out of everything I've ordered online, I've never seen anything packaged as well as the ring was.
