At the beginning of October we began discussions with a customer who was not happy with the way that her radiant cut diamond had been set. The side baguettes did not give enough finger coverage and the ring just did not make the statement that she was hoping for. She wanted the setting to be elegant but to have some “drama” as well.

She sent in her ring and plain matching band and e-mailed a document with all her ideas laid out, which included parts of other rings and some architectural samples.  She had several discussions with Brian to fine tune the design elements of the new setting. We created the first rendition using CAD and realized that it needed an extra baguette on each end,  so we generated a second CAD which was perfect. We cast the custom platinum setting which was to hold her beautiful radiant cut center stone and 0.70 ctw baguettes which included 3 of the baguettes from her original setting.
